Something Worth Stealing

The other day as I was sitting in my car, a friend asked what my favorite scripture verse is. Without even thinking, I placed my hand on top of the dash above the steering wheel where I keep a verse that I wrote onto a generic old notecard. No sooner had I noticed that the notecard I was grabbing for was in fact not there, it hit me that it was more than likely jacked with everything else in my car. Seriously!?!?! How lame ironic is that? Truthfully, I am still rather annoyed by the whole thing, but I can't help but chuckle just thinking about the miscreants that broke into my car going through their "loot" and finding a handwritten Bible verse. And people say God doesn't have a sense of humour. I beg to differ.

Philippians 4:6-7 (English Standard Version)
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(I realize that it would have been even more brilliant had the verse been, "Thou shalt not steal," but I still think it's pretty great.)
