Esophagogastroduodenoscopy Update

I'm alive and eating and drinking. Life is good.

Looking for more details? I'm afraid I can't relay any for you as I don't remember much. My coming out of sedation was evidently not very graceful. Supposedly, I spilled water all over myself, fumbled my way through talking about various things and had to practically be dragged to-and-fro like a freshly hatched deer learning to walk.

All I remember is sleeping, waking up as a few lovely friends popped in and brought me goodies, "talking on the phone" to a few people, sleeping, waking up as my sister and her husband brought me more goodies, sleeping, sleeping and sleeping. The most major thing I can't seem to remember is where in the world I put my keys when I arrived at my house after the procedure. Obviously I used them to enter my house, but as far as where they are as of now, only God knows. It of course came to my attention as I was walking out the door to go to work this morning. I spent a good 15+ minutes searching every logical (and illogical) place that I may have placed them (refrigerator, bathroom cabinets and inside the closet included). Waiting outside of work in the rain for someone to come and unlock the building for me was a cherry-on-top-of-the esophagogastroduadenoscopy-sundae way to start my day.

But yes, everything turned out "normal" (if normal means having a constant pain in my gut that is exacerbated by eating and drinking). For now, I am to make my way through a bag full of drugs until a follow-up consultation in December. Looks like I'll be praying for Christmas to come early.
