Grey's My Favorite Color

I started to write a couple of posts within the past week and obviously didn't get very far. I would like to take this time to write a few updates for those of you who might care a bit. Mind you, I have been battling a nasty, nasty virus for about a week now, so if any of my sentences make no sense whatsoever, feel free to point it out and then give me money because you feel sorry for me.

My two sisters, bro-in-law, a good friend and I saw BarlowGirl on October 4. Mandy and Aaron bought Kase and me tickets to see them for our birthday. That's right, BarlowGirl. I would like to take this time to give props to LeAnn for getting me hooked on these girls. There's nothing like divulging in a little chick rock once in a while-make that Christian chick rock. But it's not just their head-boppin tunes and memorable "yeah yeah yeah" taglines that gets me going; it's their hearts. The show was more than just a concert and rockin' music: it was a time of worship. Hands were raised, heads were bowed (in between banging from side to side) and hearts were touched. Musically, my only "constructive criticism" would be for the girls to mind their tempos and to urge their sounds guy to make sure their voices are clearer throughout the whole venue. Other than that, it was a very sweet night.

Moving onto work...ugh. It's definitely our "busy season." It's hard to believe that is really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Except we're not aloud to promote all things religious, so I guess it's beginning to look a lot like...holidays. Bleh. I am definitely most grateful for my job, but I have to admit that I have been caught researching possible places for vacationing.

Family time. I don't really want to go into details because I'm flat-out pooped from talking about it, but there was a pretty good scare involving my father on Monday. Let's just say that some medical geniuses diagnosed him with a pretty serious malady, and shipped him over to the other side of the state, where another medical genius slammed everything the previous genius had diagnosed, and then diagnosed that he didn't know what was wrong. Confusing much? Exactly. That's what we're left with as of now. A big fat HUH? Anyway, Pops is doing well, all things considered. Thanks to those who prayed.

That's all I can think of for now. Oh, and I sold a couple more of my guitars for a decent sum. But as for now I am holding off on the PRS hunt.

Alright. Who are the peeps in that first pic? You are second from right, if I'm right. ;)
Is the cutie second from left part of BarlowGirl?

Shabash, tis I second from right. I suppose I should have spelled it out.
R-L: Kasey (the girl that looks like me), Moi, Lauren Barlow, Aaron (the bro-in-law), Alyssa Barlow, Miranda (my older sis) Rebecca Barlow, Kelsey (good friend). Rebecca is so gorgeous in person. It's hard to tell via the photo, but she reminds me of Rani Mukherji. :)

Next time you meet Rebecca, please tell her she has a fan in Boston. ;)

Is she the vocalist or the guitarist on the left?

Yes, the next time I see her I'll definitely relay the message. And she is the guitarist. A heck of a one at that. And she only does backing vocals. Lauren is the drummer (in the middle) and Alyssa plays bass/keys and leads (vocally) most of the songs.

Hi, you totally don't know me but I was really good friends with mandy in HS. I saw your blog on Sam's and I thought maybe I could get Mandy's info from you. I know that is kind of scarey so you could send Mandy to my blog at www.marlattfamily.blogspot.com I would totally appreciate it. Thanks!
